more bridges (part 2 of 3)

7.  caine road bridge was built in 1986 in honor of ashtabula county's 175th anniversary.  it was the first pratt truss bridge built in ohio and is one of only five in the state.


8.  doyle road bridge was built in 1868 on doyle road east of jefferson off SR 307.  it has a clearance of 11 feet 4 inches.  it was rededicated in 1987 following the addition of a laminated arch.  it is 94 feet long and features town lattice design.


9.  middle road bridge was constructed in 1868 and reconstructed in 1984.  it is 136 feet long and has a clearance of 11 feet.


10.  olins covered bridge is the only bridge named after a family.  it was built in 1873 and features town lattice design.  it is 115 feet long and has a clearance of 10 feet.


11.  the root road bridge was built in 1868 and renovated in 1982-83.  it is 114 feet long with a 10 foot 6 inch clearance.  it features town lattice design.



12.  state road bridge was built in 1983 as the first "new" covered bridge constructed in the county.  it has town lattice design and clearance of 16 feet 2 inches.
