soft morning light

the soft morning light gave me an opportunity to play with my new macro lens.  

it allows a lot of bokeh in my photos....

today i had a photo session at indian point,
another park in the lake county  metro parks system.

it was scheduled for the latter part of the month of april
so that we could photograph the spring colors.
mother nature had other plans (yesterday we had snow)
and the color was difficult to find among the browns
and grays of the winter.

i was experimenting with my new lens and had a little
bit of difficulty with the focus at times.  in general, i was
happy with my photos.

fairweather studio

fairweather studio will soon be open!
since moving back to ohio, i got the idea to convert the garage into a working studio.
since i will only use the studio while the weather is good, i have named it "fairweather studio"
now i am waiting for the temperatures to warm up so that i can organize and get the studio ready.
even though the space is not ready, today i conducted my very first collage workshop with a group organized by M.  she offered her spacious home and we all excitedly met on her third floor to make art.

it felt good to get back to making art.

the power women

i've had the urge to photograph the "power women" and now that i have a new camera, i couldn't resist any longer.
i will refine them, dress them, hang their dresses on the clotheslines and continue to figure out how to best feature these strong women on the wires.....
