clothes encounter

like sunshine, 

these two yellow dresses 

caught my eye and 

made me smile.

i've spent the better part of my afternoon
on ebay

bidding on vintage pyrex

now I don't know why
i've begun an attraction to vintage pyrex,
(yellow, with no embellishment)

i don't do that much cooking,
baking, or mixing.
have limited cupboard space,
don't even really LIKE yellow
(my other dishes are blue)

it's the thrill of the hunt
trying to "snark"
to be the highest bidder
at the very last second
(my iphone timer comes in handy)

my heart races (??)
as I count down those last few seconds
knowing there is not enough time
for another bid......
