from what i understand,

 cinco de mayo is celebrated more in our country than in Mexico.

a labyrinth created from coral, shells

and stone

i walked through to the center

sat on one of the stones 

and

meditated

today's outing was to a cenote
near Tulum.  it is primarily for
scuba and snorkelers, but was
lovely to look at and enjoy.
