pointing in new directions

intended to be a spoof on the 1950's Maidenform bra ads,
this project clearly tested all of my skills as an artist.

studio photography, bookbinding,

an authentic, but current, marketing idea.

(a quirky sense of humor didn't hurt either)

i searched ebay to find "circle stitched" bras to use as props
for my project
(34 A was the only size I could find that had any activity...)

friends were solicited to wear the bra for photo    shoots representing more current situations.

curiously i wondered what dreams young women
of the 21st century had

once i had a portfolio of photos,
the models and i collaborated on
the "dreams" that were represented
for new girls wearing the old bra.

the collection of books
were designed
with a bra strap on the cover
and tags inside the back cover

as far as i know,
no one's dreams came true
